About the role

Ferrari Estate Agents is seeking an experienced Head of Property Management to lead a growing team from their Orange office. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on portfolio management with the chance to guide and develop a small, dedicated team.The OpportunityAs Head of Property Management, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the property management team, ensuring strong tenant and landlord relationships, legislative compliance and high-quality service throughout. You'll play a key role in retaining clients, minimising risk, maximising portfolio performance and generating repeat and referral business through exceptional service.What You'll DoLead and support two direct reports, providing day-to-day guidance and mentoringManage your own portfolio alongside overseeing the wider teamDrive new business growth through gained managements, supported by commissionEnsure the team stays compliant with current tenancy legislationThis role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to be part of a flexible, supportive team with a genuine family-business feel.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and supporting a team of two property management staff, providing guidance, mentoring and day-to-day supervision.Managing a personal portfolio of properties, delivering hands-on service to both landlords and tenants.Overseeing legislative compliance across the department, keeping the team up to date with changing tenancy laws.Driving client retention and generating repeat and referral business through consistently high service standards.Identifying and winning new property management business to contribute to the growth of the rent roll.Conducting and overseeing property inspections using Inspection Express, with a company vehicle provided for all work-related travel.Managing day-to-day operations using PropertyMe, ensuring accurate records and smooth workflows across the team.Handling escalated tenant and landlord matters, resolving issues efficiently and professionally to protect client relationships.

Requirements & Skills

At least 3 years of experience in property management, including leadership or senior team experience.Current NSW Certificate of Registration (Class 2) or higher.Strong working knowledge of PropertyMe.Experience using Inspection Express or similar inspection software.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset.A proactive, solutions-focused approach to leading a team and resolving day-to-day issues.Current driver's licence, as pool vehicles are provided for inspections and work-related travel.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of property management experience with some leadership exposure, is confident using PropertyMe and Inspection Express, and brings a proactive, client-first approach to managing both a personal portfolio and a small team.
